v0.1.0 is completed

Overall
This version still does not bring the main mechanism for the game, but brings some important information about the game. In this version was added to all competitors and all locations that will be available in the game. At this point in the game there are 106 locations that may be your, of course if you buy them. Also there is 39 other businessman who want to get rich, just like you. In addition to fighting for the money, this game introduces some basic needs such as food, showering and health, you'll have to worry about them as much as you worry about your company.

Plans for v0.1.1
I'll finish tile-set and interiors will be done, also you'll be able to move around city. This will be small update, but it'll bring a lot of visual details.

Soon v0.1.0 will be done

Hi everybody this is firs big update on this blog, v0.1.0 is still not done but here are some things that will be available in it. More about v0.1.0 will be available once it is done.

What will be available in v0.1.0?

• The map will be complete, but you will not be able to move around the city (
  Moving is planned to be completed in v0.1.1)
• This version will have approximately 50 companies which will be your competition, but still there is no artificial intelligence (Number of companies may be changed in future versions)
•  Also in the world will be in exactly 105 locations factories, offices, cafe bars, restaurants and other

 Plans for the game?

• Game will have stock market where you'll be able to buy and sell stocks. Here you'll be able to sell stocks from you company or buy stocks from other companies. Player with more than 50% of the shares can manage the company, if no one has a more than 50% of company managed by a Board
• In the game you will have a possibility to lift the mortgage loan
• You'll be able to employ in other companies (Your income on beginning of the game and when you lose everything)
• Once basic mechanics are done I'll publish free HTML5 version on this website

I Added Ads

So I've been thinking about way to earn money for game development, and since it is too early to sell pre-alpha access or anything similar I decided to add Ads to this blog. If you find these ads annoying please notify me and I'll remove them.

HUD

I just created HUD for Far Hill milioner. In bottom left corner you can see money you have with you and your character state. He can be hungry, dirty and ill. In bottom right corner you can see current date and time and menu button. Also game is now in full screen and it supports both standard and widescreen.

 

Help with graphics

I'm great developer but when It comes to drawing I'm terrible. So if you like idea of the game and you're good at pixel art e-mail me.

What should you do?
There are only simple tasks for example creating tile set with 16x16 tiles, drawing characters (I already have sprite sheet so you would only need to color them) and drawing furniture, items and similar. Mostly there is not a lot to do


Will I be paid?
Unfortunately I can't pay you at the time, but if this game gets any budget you'll surly be paid first

Tile-set

We created first tile-set for buildings and testing it out, since game is still in early state of development. The apartment you're looking at is apartment you'll get at beginning of game of course I'll make building and roads around your apartment so that game feels more natural. I hope that you like graphics ;)
